Akāliko is a small space nestled in Laurel Canyon that hosts silent meditation sessions in the Early Buddhist Tradition - however - all practices & faiths are welcome and may use the time as they wish.There is no charge or expected donation to join.
About us
There are few places in Los Angeles that offer mid-day meditations and fewer in an Early Buddhist tradition. While we read texts from a myriad of contemplative sources, Akāliko's roots are in EBD.Sandiṭṭhiko akāliko ehipassiko,
to be seen here & now, timeless, inviting all to come & seeWhile there is no teacher present, beginning meditation instruction can be provided.
